Doing Church Differently
Leaders' Day June 2025
At a recent Leaders’ Day we heard from three pioneers across our Association who are Doing Church Differently: sharing inspiring stories of mission, community, and fresh expressions of church. Their sessions reminded us that fruit isn’t only found in Sunday services, but in lives transformed through creativity, faith, and love in action.
We’re delighted to make these sessions available for you to catch up on, along with study guides designed to help churches, home groups, and leadership teams reflect and discuss what this could mean in your own setting.
Explore the stories, watch the talks, and download the resources to spark a fresh vision where you are.

Doing Church Differently Reflection Series
Doing Church Differently is a series designed to help you and your church reflect on its mission and ministry through the lens of other churches. As churches share the journey they are on, hopefully there will be something that speaks to your context.
Each video has accompanying study notes to help you reflect biblically on the themes. These can be used in small groups or for a church meeting.

Ocean Church Part 2
 |
This video continues exploring Ocean Church, an innovative outdoor Christian community led by John. It highlights how faith can be deeply connected to nature, particularly the water, where many people already experience peace, awe, and a sense of the divine. John shares how his passion for the sea—whether through surfing, swimming, or kayaking—has shaped this unique form of church, meeting people where they are and helping them recognise God's presence in their experiences. However, pioneering this approach has not been without challenges.
