Essential Training in SBCA in 2025

Are you a Volunteer or Paid Youth Leader in your Local Church/Community?

Essentials is an exciting course that will equip and strengthen anyone working with young people and SCBA is pleased to offer it FREE OF CHARGE to all youth leaders in our association.

Whether you’re running a community project, a church youth group, or occasionally helping out on a Sunday morning, this course is designed with you in mind!

Youthscape Essentials covers 30 topics. The topics are divided into Insights into Young People, Skills for Youth Work and Developing Character. You’ll listen to young people, learn from professionals, participate in practical exercises and take time to deepen your own faith. It makes no assumptions about your experience, age or background. It’s accessible to those starting out as volunteers, but deep enough to stretch those who have been working alongside young people for longer.

We will be offering both online and in-person training in 2025.

The dates of the online training course are:

Wednesday 29th January
Wednesday 12th February
Wednesday 26th February
Wednesday 12th March
Wednesday 26th March
Wednesday 9th April
Wednesday 23rd April
Wednesday 7th May
Wednesday 21st May

Each session will run from 7.30pm-9pm. Groups of people can work together from one screen or individually.
