Kidlington Baptist Church - Youth Worker

Kidlngton Baptist Church are looking for an enthusiastic Youth Worker with a genuine heart for young people to lead and develop their established youth programme both within the church family and out into local schools and the community.

KBC are an active, welcoming church with a desire to impact their community for Jesus.

This is a full-time role (part-time open to discussion) with a salary of £26,000 to £30,000 pa depending on experience and qualifications.

Waypoint Church - Children's Co-ordinator

Waypoint Church in Fareham are looking for a part-time Children's Co-ordinator.

The role includes:
  • Weekly oversight of the volunteer team for Waypoint KIDS, rotas, session preparation, record keeping on ChurchSuite, arranging absence cover.
  • Sunday morning co-ordination of Waypoint KIDS - set up, co-ordination of teams, meeting and greeting visitors. The church would expect the Children's Co-ordinator to be 'active' twice a month and then on 'standby' twice a month. This enables the co-ordinator to be kept involved with the Sunday services.
  • Safeguarding - safe recruitment, interviews, safeguarding reporting, liaison with the safeguarding team and attending occasional meetings/training (there is support from the safeguarding team with this element of the role).
  • Monitoring equipment and storerooms.
  • Budget planning.
  • Organising extra events such as family services (approx. termly), special occasions - Easter and Christmas, and Summer events such as a Summer Fun Day (optional).
  • Future dreams for Qaypoint KIDS might be holiday clubs, afterschool/Saturday clubs, outreach and discipleship.This is a 12-hour a week role (this may increase in the future) with the 12 hours to be split between Sundays (8.30am-12pm)  and one day a week in the office. You would also be expected to be at staff meetings (alternate Thursdays).

As part of the team, you will contribute to creating a positive, engaging and professional working environment, where people can thrive. You will have the opportunity to help strnethen the BMS culture and uphold its core values.

As the Mission Personnel Officer, your role will involve acting as the first point of contact for ther mission enquirers, providing warm and friendly support through the application process and beyond! The role provides ongoing administrative and HR support to the Mission Personnel to enable them to thrive in the places they serve.

Christchurch Baptist Church - 0-18s Ministry Volunteer Intern (Youth)

Christchurch Baptist Church is a thriving church in the centre of the historic coastal town of Christchurch.  They're looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual as our 0-18s Ministry Volunteer Intern (Youth).  They're offering an opportunity for the successful applicant to grow as a disciple of Jesus and as a leader.  As volunteer intern, you will help the church continue to develop their youth ministry in partnership with our 0-18s Ministry Lead and a team of volunteers. 

In addition to regular line management from our 0-18s Ministry Lead, you will be given a mentor to help you reflect on your experience, growth and challenges; and it’s expected you will enrol on a placement-based theological training course with a partner provider (e.g. Moorlands Flexible Learning programme), to better equip you for ministry and mission in the local church.  Christchurch Baptist Church will pay tuition fees (up to £9,500 per annum) to the partner provider.  The church is willing to consider negotiating an employed role with the right applicant, (rather than a voluntary position with a requirement for theological training), subject to the total annual renumeration (including associated employment costs) not being greater than the cost of annual tuition fees.
